Backdated from previous BA website
Camden are consulting on a draft plan for an area between Euston Road, Cleveland Street/ Charlotte Street, New Oxford Street and Gower Street. The plan covers the part of Fitzrovia that lies within the Camden, and includes part of Bloomsbury to the east of Tottenham Court Road.
The plan is needed to deal with the impact of continued development pressure on the area, on its physical environment and on its residential communities.
The drafting of the plan has been guided by a small steering group including community groups, landowners and local councillors. Informal consultation on a working draft took place between February and September 2012. We have drafted the Proposed Submission in the light of the comments received so far.
The plan aims to ensure that growth delivers maximum benefits in terms of housing, affordable homes, open space and other public spaces, community facilities and locally produced energy. It sets out land use principles, urban design principles and development principles for 14 opportunity sites where development is likely to take place.
You can see the documents and find out how to respond on the Camden website.
The documents may also be viewed at the St Pancras Library, Camden Town Hall Extension, Argyle Street, London WC1H 8NN – open Mon 9am-7pm, Tue-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 11am-5pm (closed Sun).
Please send us your comments to arrive on or before 31 January 2013.
