Last meeting in April
Alison Jackson from the Oxfam Bookshop 12 Bloomsbury Street talked to us about OxfamÂs work in Tanzania and showed us some fascinating photographs of her recent trip there. Alison also passed on some excellent ideas about using Oxfam items such as toilets and learning kits as gifts  several people commented that they would much rather feel they were doing some good rather than just buying another knick-knack to celebrate a birthday.
If anyone is interested in volunteering to help at the Oxfam bookshop, Alison says she would love to hear from you. The minimum commitment is just four hours a week and hours are flexible. To download an application form visit

SUMMER GARDEN PARTY
Rev Perry Butler has offered us the use of the delightful private Rectory garden in Gower Street to hold a garden party any time we want.
This would mean no ASBO threat!
LetÂs discuss whether to do this in August and also if we should invite Islington and Fulham WI members as well.
