Public Consultation re Centre Point.
Find out about proposals to develop Centre Point (including the tower, bridge link, Centre Point House and the Intrepid Fox public house) at a public meeting.
Date: Monday 11 February 2013
Time: 6.15 â 8.30pm
Where: CBI Conference Centre, Centre Point, 103 New Oxford Street, WC1A 1DU.
At this meeting the developer will present proposals for the site.
The proposal is:
change of use of Centre Point tower from offices to residential;
change of use of the lower floors of Centre Point House to retail and restaurant uses (class A1 and A3);
redevelopment of Intrepid Fox to provide affordable housing to upper floors and retail and restaurant uses (class A1 and A3) to lower floors;
refurbishment of facades and windows to both buildings; and
creation of a new public square.
This follows the refusal of previous applications (2012/2895/P and 2012/2897/L) by the development control committee on 27 September 2012.
The purpose of the meeting is:
to discuss the proposal before a planning application is made;
to give local people the opportunity to ask questions and give their views on the proposals as they stand at this stage
Everyone is welcome to attend, there is no need to book a place.
A planning application has not yet been received for this site. If one is submitted in the future, the Council as the local planning authority will publicise and consult on the application in the normal way.
