A milestone was reached reached this evening at the Bloomsbury Safer Neighbourhoods Panel Meeting when Sgt Darren Bone announced his retirement as Team Leader for Bloomsbury SNT having been at the helm since the inauguration of Safer Neighbourhoods about 5 years ago. Yes, it’s that long!
We welcomed 2 ambassadors from the Fitzrovia Partnership to the panel and were encourage by their positive attitude and responses. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial working relationship with them.
After the business of the meeting, warm congratulations were given to Sgt Darren Bone for his near 5 years of service in Bloomsbury and the vast improvements we have seen on our streets during this time. Bloomsbury IS safer!
When you have dedicated police such as Darren and his team and a community that cares, then progress is not just possible but is a sure thing.
Long may the partnership last!
Panel members spoke eloquently in praise of Darren and his achievements and we thank Darren for his kind words about Bloomsbury and how he felt a professional and personal satisfaction about what was achieved during his tenure.
We wish him every success in his career for the future.
We also wish to thank Inspector Peter Hughes for his leadership over this period as the Sector Inpsector for this district. Peter is directly responsible for much of the vast improvement to our quality of life in Bloomsbury and we wish him every succes in the future.
There is no doubt that ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ works!
